DJ Hilton Park Lane International Wine Challenge Awards

For several years I have had the privilege to have been DJ for the fantastic Wine Challenge Awards. Last year we was at the Grosvenor House Hotel in central London. 2016 saw the return at one of my favourite venues in London at the Hilton Park Lane.

This year's awards took place in the Ballroom and after entertainment was next to it.

I have been a selected DJ for the team at William Reed for a few years now and we have a great relationship with their stunning team of high profile events and their technical crew are some of the best in the industry.

Arley Hall wedding disco

I was recently asked to perform at a wedding at the stunning Arley Hall in Cheshire for Chris and Kelly Hugo. The happy couple had also booked at Arley Hall and Gardens a 4 piece barbershop quartet that required me to supply technical supply for who were brilliant.

I was asked to play several of the bride and grooms favourite songs for the wedding and a mix of all genres for all guests to enjoy. The room looked stunning as so did the happy married couple.

Avoncroft wedding disco

One of my favourite local venues is the stunning Avoncroft museum. The staff are a great team and the venue setting is just perfect. The stunning settings in the gardens and venue offer a great venue for wedding couples to enjoy.

2016 NEW LOOK WEBSITE!!!! And what we have been up to!

We are back for 2016 and we can't wait to share with you the new changes. The one big change I have personally is my BRAND NEW WEBSITE for 2016. The website will be up to-date with new information of all the products you can add to my DJ set ups and up to-date Blogs!

I have introduced a new social media side to the business with brining Instagram, Blogs, Twitter and of course Facebook. Our events team will be posting on various social formats as the events happen, so please follow us.

As for myself, I have been DJ'ing all over the country as always on some very high end corporate events and classy weddings. I have worked a lot this year in Gloucester, Cotswolds and Bristol areas at some new stunning venues. Manor Hill House near Bromsgrove/Droitwich I have worked at a few times with their amazing team. We also installed the all new PA system and Battery wifi lighting.

2016 I have worked along side the Kaiser Chiefs, Dara O'Briain and DJ along side Nick Grimshaw and many more which has been great fun.

Equipment as a company we have invested in new audio by Yamaha and Lighting with new Rogue moving heads and our stunning Wireless, Wifi battery uplighting which has been enjoyed by clients all over the country - finally, no ugly cables, quick install, tidy setups and these can go outside too with our rain covers.

Malvern College Leavers Ball DJ 2013

Welcome to another blog post. As a company we have had a crazy run of 15 events a week on average through June and July and still finding time have to spin some tunes on some amazing events again.

I have done a huge amount of Proms and Balls this year and I was over joyed to have been asked back again at Malvern College for their stunning 2013 leavers ball. 

The night was perfect with a stunning draped room and a huge collection of modern moving head lighting and as always the high end martin audio PA. 

Hundreds of students and their parents partied into the early hours with a mix of modern dance music coupled with party classics and chart songs. It was great to have so many of the parents come up to me and thank me for such a great night which is always appreciated. 

I was honoured to have been asked immediately after the last song if I can book next years date in straight away. Thank you to both Ruth and Adela for once again making the event a huge success.

Ardencote Manor Wedding Disco, Decor, LED Lighting, Entertainment, Warwickshire

Another great month of events and DJ work all over the UK. Last week I was back performing at the fantastic Ardencote Manor Hotel in Warwickshire for the wedding of the new Mr & Mrs Groves.

We were honoured to have provided entertainment, 2 x room up-lighting, chair covers and fun and games in the bar area. We also shared the day with the couple as we are friends of the family. 

The whole day was amazing with great weather allowing the wedding ceremony on the island. Guests then made their way to the drinks reception area where we lit the venues pillars in the wedding colours of PINK and later on for the evening changed them to fade through a spectrum of stunning colours.

We were entertained during dinner with our popular Michael Buble singer Simon who serenaded the bride and grooms entrance with a song and then performed a mix of ballads and uptempo hits.

Both Natalie and Pete looked fantastic and we had great comments from what we provided from the venue, bride and groom and many of the guests in attendance.

Ardencote Manor Wedding Disco in Warwick

We have been very busy on events recently so sorry for not blogging but here is our latest blog on the fantastic wedding for the new Mr & Mrs Wards wedding at Ardencote Manor in Warwick.

The bank holiday weekend was a real treat of sunshine and perfect weather for this stunning wedding. We worked closely with the bride and groom on their music choices plus they booked our stunning compact Tri-LED lighting which in the day time we chose a toned down purple to compliment the wedding colours and on the evening we chose to have them fading through different colours. We had many great comments on the lighting in the room from both the wedding party and the venue.

Both the bride and groom had a selected playlist of their favourite music and song which were meaningful for guests also.

The night was a great success and we are back at Ardencote Manor exactly a week later!

Wedding Mobile Disco at Dodford Manor Northamptonshire

Every now and again I get to work at some of the newer up and coming wedding venues in the UK and last Saturday I had the privilege to DJ at the fantastic Dodford Manor in Northamptonshire. 

On arrival I was greeted by the lovely Danielle who looked after all my requirements and was very friendly. 

I was the chosen DJ for the wedding of Laure and Tie's. I had a mixed selection of music selected from the bride and groom with a mix of their favourite artists which was great fun playing and some songs which was loved by Tie's family who travelled over from the USA.

Lighting was martin wizards on DMX settings giving off great white large gobo patterns scrolling nice and slow for the first dance and then bouncing in colours to compliment the venue.

The venue was just stunning, the venue staff were brilliant, the bride and groom looked amazing and the guests were really polite and myself as DJ....what a GREAT combination!

Aston Villa Charity Ball

I had the honour to perform at the Charlie's Ball for Cords4life at Aston Villa Football Club. The Ball was as a sell out and we were asked as a company to help assist with all stage activities such as any guest talkers, performers, presentations etc.

The evening was opened by the star of ITV's 'Take Me Out' and glamour model the stunning Chanelle McCleary who gave an opening talk about the reason why we were at the Ball and the life of Charlie Harris who sadly passed away this year. The evening was also attended by football legend Geoff Horsfield.

We provided introduction music, radio mic systems for acts, audio mix for vocal performer Kerrie as well as myself playing music as working around the acts as compere for the evening.

The event was organised by the brilliant Michelle Wilson who organised the event and worked endlessly for Ball and charity.

Jam Productions helped bring in a few prizes for the evening from family passes to Warwick Castle and Avoncroft Museum to 3 course meals at The Wood Norton in Evesham.

The event at Villa Park in Birmingham was an amazing success and we wish Cords4Life the very best with all future fund raising.

Deer Park Hall Wedding Disco

Another stunning wedding at the fantastic Deer Park Hall for the newly wed Mr and Mrs Thompson. The wedding reception was set at Deer Park Hall with the wedding breakfast looking over the fantastic views of the Worcestershire country side and the odd occasional deer can be seen.

The staff at the venue make all suppliers feel really welcome and its always a date in the diary we look forward to supplying as we know we are going to enjoy the wedding party.

Afterwards the guests made their way into the evening party room where we had in place a nice compact wedding disco package of LED DJ booth surround, Martin Audio PA, Martin Wizard lighting effects offering a white star mirror ball effect for the first dance. We kept the lighting in a nice spray for the dance floor throughout the night, not over powering the room and compliment the settings.

Music
We worked closely with the bride and groom ensuring the music was how they wanted it, but still keeping us open for requests from guests. Guests had also requested music with their wedding invites so we were able to dedicate music to people directly which was great fun with some different than normal songs!!

The whole night was great fun and the bride and groom left just before the end of the night with their selected last song which we got the guests to create an archway for the bride and groom to depart through onto their awaiting carriage.

Curradine Barns Wedding - Worcestershire

Adrian performed another wedding at one of our favourite wedding venues, the Curradine Barns in Worcestershire. This is a fantastic venue which as a company we have supplied lots of entertainment from DJs, live music to fun games and venue lighting.

April 5th Adrian was chosen DJ for another special wedding at The Curradine Barns. The bride and groom worked closely with the Jam Productions events team to ensure their selected music was on hand for the night. Adrian was on hand and played lots of guests requests and sound and lighting was perfect for the barns and keep the feel of the venue. Adrian provided Martin Professional Wizard Extreme lighting effects which were controlled via DMX (Computer controlled) to give off a perfect controlled show for the lighting as seen in the photos below.

White stars acting in a mirror ball effect were used during the first dance and also complimented the venue for many songs on the night. The bride and groom had a cream coloured theme so Adrian chose to not use any vibrant colours and stick with white colours as an LED back light for the evening guests arrival and first dance. As in the photo below this set a fantastic backdrop up the stunning brickwork.

Adrian and his team do a lot of subtle touches with lighting which is talked about highly when the bride and groom look through the wedding photos. Adrian will also work closely with the photographer on the evening to advise them on the lighting colours so correct camera/video setting are ready - again a touch which most DJs will ignore, and a touch which Adrian creates to ensure your evening disco is perfect.

Adrian has a lot of history at this venue in fact Adrian actually did the first ever wedding at the Curradine Barns when it had no extension on the back and it was surrounded in mud! Redhouse Barn Bromsgrove Wedding Disco

Redhouse Barn in Bromsgrove is our favourite wedding venue ever! why? well this is also the venue that myself and my partner Jenny also got married! so we always have a soft spot for doing anything at this venue and its great that we are a recommended supplier at the venue with the most amazing staff you will ever find.

On August the 11th 2012 we were back to DJ and supply our photo booth. Again the recommendation was via Jenny who knew the bride personally and when they found out we also had our wedding at Redhouse Barn and that we were suppliers - the whole process was very personal and gave the bride and groom to be the confidence that all couples require.

The amazing lighting that our company Jam Productions supplied to the venue was in full swing and Jeramy (one of the owners along with Jane) was at control ensuring the perfect setting for white colour wash during first dance, cake cutting etc was executed perfectly and then a multiple array of colours in a computer controlled light show was working the dance floor. This is without doubt the best wedding venue you will ever see with in-house lighting system and all in LED keeping it eco friendly.


I was asked for a large selection of music for the bride and groom and guests had their favourite music played. It was a great night with everyone on the dance floor and mixing in old and current classics.
